Earthworks provides horticultural training for adults with learning disabilities at a wonderful Eco-Garden based in StAlbans.
Sweet Charity are working with Earthworks to launch a new service providing garden maintenance to older or vulnerable members of our community. To kick start the project, a comprehensive competitor review and marketing plan was put into place to promote this new initiative. The 'Earthworks on Wheels' service was launched at a 'Seed Swap' event, attended by local businesses with related marketing literature, blogs and local press coverage.
Following social media and direct marketing training the Earthworks team are now better placed to build a tribe of advocates for their services and drive engagement in our community.
Sweet Charity have also supported work to help Earthworks become GDPR compliant, helping audit processes and put new policies and procedures in place.

The Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline
This local Helpline provides a life-line to abuse survivors and their friends and family by providing a free, confidential advice and signposting service.
The main objective of this ongoing cross channel marketing support is to raise brand awareness and importantly call numbers.
Following a brand evolution to create a more professional, modern look and feel, we created a campaign targeting local businesses to support victims and promote the helpline. As a result of press coverage including victim and call operator case studies, a series of blog articles and launching a twitter presence, we significantly boosted web traffic and helped reverse a decline in calls to the helpline.
Harnessing digital marketing tools like PPC and SEO we have increased brand reach and audience engagement, enabling us to educate our local community on how to spot the signs and signpost to help.

The OLLIE Foundation
OLLIE is a start up mental health charity raising awareness of the issue of suicide and educating the community on how to help.
The Sweet Charity marketing team have worked together on the design and delivery of a new brand for The OLLIE Foundation to create a credible, high impact identity that clearly communicates the brand values and charity proposition. Utilising evocative photography and deliberately emotive headlines to grab the audience’s attention, the new branding has been rolled out both on and offline to promote OLLIE’s suicide intervention training.
The team also project managed the charities first crowd funding pitch which included creating event stand collateral, video production and a power-point presentation to communicate the achievements and ambitions of this start up charity.
On social media we have successfully created a highly engaged community of advocates and harnessed the support of local press and radio to deliver a strong PR presence.

Local Family Charity Snowflake Appeal
Home-Start Herts is a local family support charity helping struggling parents with home visits, guidance and support, to ensure vulnerable children get a better start in life.
They asked Sweet Charity to help to improve the content and ranking of their new website. The first priority was to improve the copy so that it clearly communicates the support available to families and explains the variety of ways the local community can help raise funds and share expertise.
In addition Home-Start needed some creative support and extra resource to hep bring their annual ‘Winter Snowflake’ fund raising initiative to fruition. We helped by brainstorming the key marketing messages, creating a campaign landing page and using social media to create a fun, festive ‘#Showusyoursnowflake’ appeal to drive awareness and followers.
